canoeing...

  • During peak season a Sunday afternoon BBQ will be presented (weather permitting) to enable you to meet your fellow vacationers.
  • Bonfire get together - Thursday evening, during peak season (weather permitting)
  • Enjoy swimming at our gently sloping sandy beach or take a boat and explore the miles of picturesque shoreline.
  • Have a picnic on one of the many islands nearby.
  • Pedal boats, canoes, windsurfers and kayaks are at your disposal & there is badminton, horseshoes & volleyball.
  • Darts, fooseball and board games.  Also limited exercise equipment.

  • For the golfer, Parry Sound Golf Club is only a twenty minute drive.

birdwatching...
  • For the bird watcher, there are Warblers, Woodpeckers, Blue Herons, Loons, Osprey, Merlins, etc.& even Bald Eagles have made a comeback.
  • For the camera buff, there is an endless supply of gorgeous scenery.
  • Pointe au Baril is known for excellent fishing, especially for Northern Pike, Walleye & Muskellunge, as well as Bass, Crappies & Pan-fish.

A small, Intimate family and fishing resort with eight excellently appointed self-catering cottages. Features include three piece bath; colour TV; queen size bed; fireplace; deck; picnic table; gas BBQ. The three bedroom "penthouse" sits high on a rock with a panoramic view of Georgian Bay and has additional amenities such as a four piece bath with whirlpool tub, pine paneled walls with cathedral ceilings and a larger covered deck with lounge chairs.

The resort rests among tall pines facing west to enjoy the spectacular Georgian Bay sunsets. There is a large sand beach with peddle boats, canoes and windsurfers. Other activities include badminton; volleyball; horeseshoes; bean bag toss and basketball hoop.

The fishing enthusiast or first timer will enjoy walleye, pike, muskie, bass and panfish. Our package plans include 16 ft. aluminum boats with 15 hp motors and your first tank of gas.

During peak season we have Sunday BBQ to meet your neighbours and on Thursday evening there is a bonfire on the beach with hotdogs and marshmallows.

We are open from May to October. Please no pets.

The Point au Baril Information Centre and Chamber of Commerce is located on the east
side of highway #69, just as you enter Point au Baril from the South and as you leave Pointe au Baril from the North.
